West Coast School, founded in 1956, is operated by the Professional Photographers of California, Inc.
General Policies
Class sizes are limited and admissions are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Payment for all courses is due at time of registration. West Coast School does not discriminate and is committed to equal opportunity regardless of age, martial status, gender, disability, race, color, religion, sexual orientation, national/ethnic origin or any other factors. Some classes are hands on and do have physical requirements.
EZ Payment Plan
Your total for tuition can be divided into equal monthly payments. If your payment does not clear, we will contact you once via phone and once via email. If we do not get a timely response (3 business days), there will be a $25.00 “Chasing Fee” added to your account if we have to chase you down to update credit card info or collect payment. Please do not register online if you wish to set up EZ Pay. Call the West Coast School office at (800) 439-5839 Ext 3.
Withdrawal/Cancellation/Refund Policies
West Coast School reserves the right to cancel courses, make faculty changes, or refuse admission to any student. In case a course is canceled, the student will have the option of registering for another course (subject to availability) or receive a full refund. Withdrawal from a course is subject to a fee.
Cancellation Policy
Tuition includes a non-refundable registration fee. Refunds (less this fee) will be issued under the following guidelines:
- January 1 – March 1 $100 Processing Fee
- March 1 – April 1 $200 Processing Fee
- After April 2, NO REFUNDS
All refunds must be applied for in writing to the school director, Michelle Pennings at director@westcoastschool.com.
Waiver of Liability
The Professional Photographers of California’s West Coast School shall have no responsibility or liability for personal injury to any participant or loss or damage to any participant’s property, or for personal injuries or damage to the property of another person resulting from the participant’s involvement in any workshop or school activity. The Professional Photographers of California’s West Coast School shall have no responsibility for the acts, errors or omissions of instructors, staff, or other providers of service to participants during the school.
Class Schedule/Hours
The week long classes begin at 8:30 am on Monday and end at 1:00 pm on Friday. Check-in, for all students, is on Sunday beginning at 3:00 pm. An Opening Social begins at 5:30 pm. Class Hours are Monday – Thursday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Some courses may have varied hours for “on location”demonstrations.
